Dana Hovan, M.Ed., LMT
Professional Massage Therapy and Wellness Education

About Me

Practicing part time since 1991, Dana has many years in various areas of health and wellness ranging from yoga teacher training to bodybuilding.  With a solid firm touch, she combines several modalities, some obscure, for a unique and relaxing bodywork experience.  Background and resume includes a Masters and teaching experience in K-12 special education, making her comfortable and familiar with the challenges, gifts and needs of the neurodivergent community.

Sliding scale is offered when needed.  Massage and bodywork like CST is a perfect addition to any healthcare routine, but not if we only show up every 6-12 months.  Once a routine is established the body responds readily and massage can be utilized less often.

Part of Dana's practice and intention is to bring education to the client on how to best support their own specific needs.  Having spent years living with and managing chronic pain & injury from an active lifestyle of exercise and gardening, Dana can share resources and educational information on subjects ranging from:

  • Ayurveda diets and lifestyles
  • EDS and support resources for hypermobility issues, POTS and MCAS
  • support for managing autoimmune issues & pain
  • source material support for autoimmune, hormone and women's issues
  • fitness & movement support, including MELT Method self care
  • knowledge & support on self care of the fascial and connective tissue systems
  • ideas /support on managing issues such as ADHD, ASD and trauma related discomfort

Dana's hobbies also include regular study on such matters via podcasts on health, fitness and neurobiology....let Dana do the homework so you don't have to!

Dana is a local Middle Tennessean and East Nashville resident since the mid 1990's and is conveniently located in the Tom Joy Neighborhood off of Lischey Avenue between Trinity Lane and Douglas Avenue.  Directions provided upon appointment being scheduled.
